Abstract
IN CROATIAN: Svrha poglavlja je utvrditi razlike između zaposlenih na određeno i neodređeno vrijeme u njihovim uvjetima rada, kao i čimbenike koji pridonose tim razlikama. Definiranje uvjeta rada naslanja se na okvir “Rad po mjeri čovjeka” koji obuhvaća 6 dimenzija kvalitetnih radnih mjesta: dobra plaća, zaštita zdravlja, učenje i napredovanja, sigurnost, glas na radnom mjestu i radno vrijeme. Analiza je provedena na podacima nacionalno reprezentativnih istraživanja koja su provedena u sklopu projekata Saveza samostalnih sindikata Hrvatske (SSSH) 2018. i 2019. godine. Sukladno međunarodnoj literaturi, i ovom analizom utvrđene su značajne razlike u kvaliteti zaposlenja između zaposlenih na određeno i neodređeno. Nepovoljniji položaj zaposlenih na određeno identificiran je kroz subjektivne i objektivne pokazatelje unutar većine dimenzija rada po mjeri čovjeka. U mnogim aspektima rada po mjeri čovjeka, nepovoljniji položaj zaposlenih na određeno opstaje i kad se uzme u obzir nepovoljnija sociodemografska struktura zaposlenih na određeno, te karakteristika organizacija u kojima rade. Ovdje valja naglasiti ograničeni doseg, ali pozitivan efekt sindikalnog organiziranja i kolektivnih ugovora na položaj zaposlenih na određeno. --------------- IN ENGLISH: The purpose of the chapter is to determine the differences, and the factors that lead to these differences, in working conditions between workers employed on fixed-term and indefinite contracts. The definition of working conditions is based on the "Work Fit for People" framework, constituting of six dimensions of quality workplaces: good pay, health protection, learning and advancement, security, a voice in the workplace, and working hours. The analysis is conducted on data of nationally representative surveys conducted by the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia (UATAC) in 2018 and 2019. The results significant differences in the quality of employment between permanent and temporary workers. The disadvantageous position of fixed-term workers is identified through subjective and objective indicators within most of the dimensions of "Work Fit for People". In many aspects of working conditions, the disadvantage of temporary workers persists even when the unfavorable socio-demographic structure of temporary workers and the characteristics of the organization in which they work is taken into account. In addition, the limited, but positive effect of trade union organizing and collective agreements on the position of temporary workers is emphasized.
