Abstract
--------------- IN ENGLISH: The chapter presents the results of the survey carried out as part of the project "Work Fit for People" during the summer of 2021, with a special emphasis on the types and outcomes of fixed-term employment, experiences of unequal treatment and discrimination, as well as an assessment of the unfavorable effects of fixed-term work on other aspects of life. Data points to the increasing occurrence of fixed-term contracts for those who have recently entered the labour market, as well as very diverse reasons for using fixed-term contracts. Fixed-term contracts are often used instead of a probationary period, and the perspectives of transition to a permanent job are unfavorable for the project and seasonal workers, as well as for substitutes. Although the practices of (self) exploitation and the feeling of isolation at work are not more frequent among temporary workers, almost half of the survey participants have experienced at least one form of unequal treatment in the workplace while working on a fixed-term contract. Unequal treatment of temporary workers is more frequent among workers without higher education. Outside employment, the association between working on fixed-term contracts and the perception of negative consequences of one's work on other aspects of life, especially those related to finances, is confirmed, with the negative consequences being more pronounced among older workers.
