Abstract

Rezultati pokazuju da, u usporedbi s učenicima lošijeg uspjeha, učenici boljeg uspjeha imaju bolju sliku o sebi, rjeđe pribjegavaju defanzivnim strategijama učenja, a češće koriste metakognitivne vještine. Nisu nađene razlike u sklonosti dubinskom procesiranju i strategijama poticanja učenja među učenicima odličnog i vrlo dobrog uspjeha. (IN ENGLISH: The purpose of the study was to analyse the differences in the aspects of academic self-concept (Marsh, 1990) and the use of cognitive and motivational learning strategies (Lončarić, 2014a) among students of different school achievement. The research sample included the eighth form primary school pupils from Zagreb and Zagreb county (N = 589). The findings suggest that students with higher achievement, compared to the students with the lower one, have better image of themselves, less frequently use defensive learning strategies and more often use metacognitive skills. The differences among students with excellent and very good achievement in tendencies towards deep processing and self-encouragement for learning were not found. The findings indicate the need to provide low-achievers with better support aimed at developing more positive expectations about their own learning and mastering proactive learning strategies.)
